Installing Your eSIM on iPhone and Android — Step by Step
Good news: adding an eSIM takes about a minute. Follow the steps below for your device and you’ll be online as soon as you land.
Before you start (30-second checklist)
- Make sure your phone supports eSIM (iPhone XS+, Pixel, Galaxy S20+ and newer).
- Have your IbiPoint QR code email ready on another screen or device.
- Turn off any VPN/ad-blocker temporarily during install.
Install on iPhone
- Click the installation link in the Ibipoint email..
- Wait until your iPhone installed the eSIM.
- Set the new line as Mobile Data, keep your home SIM for calls/SMS.
- Go to the new line and enable Data Roaming.
Install on Android
- Open Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs/eSIM → Add eSIM.
- Select Use a QR code and scan the IbiPoint code.
- Set as Mobile Data line and enable Roaming.
APN: Usually auto-configures. If prompted, use the APN shown in your order email; leave username/password blank.
Activation & timing
Your plan’s days start when the eSIM first connects on the destination network. You can install anytime and activate on arrival.
Troubleshooting (quick fixes)
- Toggle Airplane Mode for 15 seconds to refresh the connection.
- Ensure the eSIM is the active Data line and Data Roaming is ON.
- Disable VPN/ad-blockers temporarily.
- Try manual network selection in Settings if needed.
